Handwoven willow baskets, vessels, and ornaments, made in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
Working from her South Williamstown, Massachusetts workshop, Heleny grows cultivated willow, forages wild stands, and handweaves each piece from start to finish. Her practice is grounded in a deep understanding of material—how willow is harvested, prepared, and shaped—and in the rhythms of the landscape where it is grown.
In addition to producing functional baskets and sculptural forms, Heleny teaches willow weaving and continues to refine her craft through ongoing study with makers across Ireland, England, Denmark, and the United States.
Every piece from Wendling Willows reflects a commitment to traditional techniques, thoughtful making, and the enduring versatility of willow—objects designed to be used, lived with, and enjoyed over time.
Workshops are held throughout the year at the studio.
